Deterioration of the ruble exchange rate forecast
MOSCOW (Reuters) - The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation has worsened the average annual ruble exchange rate forecast for the US dollar for the next three years, maintaining estimates of economic growth, investment, and inflation.
Minek has worsened the forecast of the course to 67.2 rubles per dollar in 2020 (63.8 in the previous forecast), and 67.8 rubles per dollar in 2021 (64.0 in the previous forecast).
At the same time, the Ministry retained for the current year a forecast of GDP growth (+1.3 percent), investment (+3.1 percent), and inflation (+4.3 percent), and expects an improvement in macroeconomic indicators from next year.
